Welcome to the MEC

In 2005, Maroondah SC, Norwood SC, Parkwood SC and Ringwood SC united under the Leading Schools Fund project to provide an innovative and unique education solution for students within the Maroondah network, whilst addressing common concerns regarding student retention, engagement, VCE results and pathways.

Maroondah Schools Regeneration Project
Since 2007, the Principals of seven neighbourhood secondary schools; Croydon SC, Croydon Community School, Heathmont College, Maroondah SC, Norwood SC, Parkwood SC and Ringwood SC have been working together on the Maroondah Schools Regeneration Project – a proposal for the redevelopment of government secondary schools that has the capacity to re-envisge and renew education for young people in the local Maroondah Area.

Youth Voice – Model United Nations Conference
On August 18th, Year 9 and 10 students from Heathmont College, Croydon SC, Maroondah SC and Ringwood SC, participated in a Model United Nations conference at Heathmont College.

Youth Voice – ‘No Regrets’ Student Social Action Project

Since Term 4 2009, the MEC schools have been involved in a Victorian Government pilot program developed in partnership with Step Back Think and the Foundation for Young Australians (FYA).
